Maalot’s history dates to 1984, when Dr. Avraham Schwartzbaum, of blessed memory, and Rabbi Nosson Geisler, in collaboration with Rabbi Refson, founder and Dean of Neve Yerushalayim, established an educational initiative rooted in academic excellence, ethical values, and meaningful professional preparation.

Originally founded within the Bais Yaakov educational tradition, Maalot sought to make quality education accessible while honoring the personal and religious commitments of its students. This early vision established a commitment to academic opportunity, intellectual growth, and education guided by purpose and responsibility.

In 2022, Maalot College was established as an online institution, building on this educational heritage and expanding opportunities for students to pursue their academic and professional goals through flexible, accessible learning.

A significant milestone followed in June 2026, when Maalot College earned institutional accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), affirming its commitment to recognized standards of educational quality and institutional effectiveness.

Today, Maalot College serves students from diverse backgrounds, offering higher education grounded in academic rigor, ethical principles, and personal responsibility.
