For the Judaic studies courses and the 30 credit Judaic studies requirement in each of our degree programs, most of the textbooks are found in the library of any traditional home or synagogue. For additional technology fees for lab courses please refer to the enrollment agreement.
Tuition Payment Schedules
Currently, Maalot does not provide any scholarships, payment plans, or financing options to students. Students register for courses for a single semester at a time and must make payment arrangements for the semester, in full, before the semester begins. Students may not register for a new semester if there is a balance of unpaid tuition.
Refund Policy
Refund policy before the start date of the semester
If for any reason an applicant is not accepted by the school, the applicant is entitled to a refund of the application fee. Refunds are made directly to the person who paid the tuition and /or fees.
Five-Day Cancellation: An applicant who provides written notice of cancellation within five calendar days of signing an enrollment agreement is entitled to a refund of all monies paid excluding the application fee. No later than 30 days of receiving the notice of cancellation, the school shall provide a 100% refund.
Other Cancellations: An applicant requesting cancellation more than five calendar days after signing an enrollment agreement and making an initial payment, but prior to entering the school, is entitled to a refund of all monies paid, minus the application fee of $50 and the $50 transcript evaluation fee.
Refund Policy after the commencement of classes:
1- Procedure for withdrawal/withdrawal date:
A – A student choosing to withdraw from the school after the commencement of classes is to provide written notice to the registrar or dean of the school. The notice is to indicate the expected last date of attendance and be signed and dated by the student.
B- For a student who is on authorized Leave of Absence, the withdrawal date is the date the student was scheduled to return home from the Leave and failed to do so.
C- A student will be determined to be withdrawn from the institution (dismissed) if the student has not attended any class for 30 days.
D- If a student is dismissed from the college, the withdrawal date will be considered the date that the student is first notified that he or she has been dismissed.
E- All refunds will be issued within 30 days of the determination of the withdrawal date.
2 – Tuition charges/refunds:
A – Before the start of the semester and during the first week of classes, the student is entitled to a refund of 100% of the tuition.
B – After the commencement of classes, the tuition refund, will be determined as indicated in the chart below, minus the $50 evaluation of transfer credit fee and the $50 application fee:

For example: If a student withdraws from the two courses they were enrolled in after attending for 2 weeks, they would be entitled to a refund of 70% of the tuition paid. Fees paid would be retained by Maalot including, the $50 application fee and $50 Transcript evaluation fee. Since the student was enrolled in two courses at the current tuition rate of $300 per course, they would receive a refund of $420.
Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the date of student notification, or date of school determination (withdrawn due to absences or other criteria as specified in the school catalog), or in the case of a student not returning from an authorized Leave of Absence (LOA), within 30 days of the date the student was scheduled to return from the LOA and did not return. The refund will be issued to the party that paid the tuition
