Bachelor of Arts in Judaic Studies

Program Objective:

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree program in Judaic Studies prepares students who are interested in pursuing broad and intense coursework in Judaic Studies. The BA in Judaic Studies may include courses in any areas of Classical Bible or Talmud studies, Jewish Philosophy, Law or Religion. This must include a minimum of 18 upper-level credits. There are many other courses which could fill the requirements of this major. Additional courses are listed in the Maalot College catalog or may be transferred from other institutions. 

A minimum of 30 semester hours must be completed through Maalot. The Judaic Studies major must include at least 18 credits of upper level studies (300 or 400 level courses) with no more than 6 credits at the 100 level. Many course combinations are possible.

The Judaic Studies requirement may be fulfilled with Judaic Studies courses  with no restriction on the number of  lower level credits. Please refer to the transfer of credit policy in the catalog.  These courses must be based on traditional and classic sources and may be in REL, PHI, LAN, TAL, OR ETH as they relate to Judaic Studies.

Degree Requirement 120 credits. Capstone CST495 is required.
